4/18/2023 – SenseCAP M1 OTA Update

Apr 18th, 2023 – We released SenseCAP M1 firmware version 2023.04.18.0, which update gateway-rs to v1.0.2.
Changes:
  • Update gateway-rs from v1.0.0 to v1.0.2

  1. The firmware will automatically update, the hotspot owner does not need to do anything. Each firmware release will take a few hours to update all SenseCAP on the network, so please wait patiently to get your hotspot updated.

4/13/2023 – SenseCAP M1 OTA Update

Apr 13th, 2023 – We released SenseCAP M1 firmware version 2023.04.13.0, which supports region: AU915_SB1, AU915_SB2, and AS923_1C.
Please note that this OTA doesn’t update the helium gateway-rs firmware on SenseCAP M1.
Changes:
  • Add configuration files of region AU915_SB1, AU915_SB2, and AS923_1C

4/4/2023 – SenseCAP M1 OTA Update

Apr 4th, 2023 – We released SenseCAP M1 firmware version 2023.03.29.2, which updates gateway firmware to gateway-rs firmware.

  • Update helium gateway to helium gateway-rs v1.0.0
  • Remove validator information reporting to SenseCAP Dashboard

Feb 7th, 2023 – We released SenseCAP M1 firmware version 2023.02.04.0, which fixes two important issues related to Oracle-Based Proof-of-Coverage for Helium’s IOT network.

12/16/2022 – SenseCAP M1 OTA Update

December 16 2022 – We released SenseCAP M1 firmware version 2022.12.13.0, as we are invited by the Nova Team to continue testing off-chain proof-of-coverage. This update will let your hotspots generate off-chain poc beacon per 6 hours for testing, without impacting the current on-chain poc beacon, which means your rewards are not affected.

11/16/2022 – SenseCAP M1 OTA Update

November 16 2022 – We released SenseCAP M1 firmware version 2022.11.07.0, as we are invited by the Nova Team to start testing off-chain proof-of-coverage. Note that this firmware 2022.11.07.0 has been tested on Original Helium Hotspots by Nova Team one week ago, and it is proved that it won’t affect rewards for hotspots.

November 04 2022 – We released SenseCAP M1 firmware version 2022.10.28.0, which adds exponential back-off for Hotspots when requesting ledger information from Validators, to reduce the pressure on the Validators.

08/19/2022 – SenseCAP M1 OTA Update

August 19 2022 – We released SenseCAP M1 firmware version 2022.08.17.1, which disables peer-to-peer activity and updates the HTTP2 process that the Hotspot uses to communicate to Validators (over GRPC).

07/14/2022 – SenseCAP M1 OTA Update

July 14 2022 – We released SenseCAP M1 firmware version 2022.07.14.0, which turns off Chain Sync and enables Mux on Hotspots.

Changes:

  • Update helium gateway to 2022.07.14.0
  • P2P Status and Block Height are not sent to SenseCAP Dashboard now
  • Disable Turbo Sync on Local Console, as Hotspots don’t need to sync now
  • Retain Reset Block on Local Console. The Hotspot owner can use this to clear the SD card usage but not necessary

SenseCAP APP:

SenseCAP APP and SenseCAP Dashboard will not show Hotspot’s P2P Status and Block Height anymore

06/11/2022 – SenseCAP M1 OTA Update

June 11, 2022 – We released SenseCAP M1 firmware version 2022.06.09.0, which contains a flatline fix and preparation to disable chain sync on hotspots.

  • Update helium gateway to 2022.06.09.0
  • Update EU868, IN865 and RU864 TX gain LUT of packet forwarder

  • If your hotspot has updated to the new firmware and however not starting to sync after 30mins, you are free to do a reset block to manually sync the blocks.
